The Outvertising Mentoring Programme exists to support and champion LGBTQIA+ talent at any level or looking to enter the industry, thrive. We believe that with the right infrastructure of support in place a new generation of talent can come through, bringing with them enormous value, diversity and creativity to an industry where senior LGBTQIA+ visibility is low.

The programme’s mentors are all Outvertising volunteers, senior-leaders in the industry with a wealth of knowledge and lived experience, who are either from the LGBTQIA+ community themselves or strong allies.

Why join the Ouvertising Mentoring Programme?

We are committed to ensuring compatibility to provide everyone with the most meaningful and useful relationship. We also provide structured support to ensure that each pairing is set up for success.

For Mentees, if you're from the LGBTQIA+ community and are looking to get into the industry or have been working in the industry for less than five years, this is your opportunity to connect with experienced industry leaders, grow your confidence and understanding, and build a supportive network of LGBTQIA+ people and allies. We ask that all mentees be over 18 years of age.

For Mentors, if you have been working in the industry for seven years or more, are in a senior position, an active ally or part of the LGBTQIA+ community, this programme is build to allow you to provide your experience, support and guidance to the next generation of talent.

What can I expect?

All mentors will go through mentor training in preparation for the programme’s launch.

Mentors and Mentees will be matched as best as possible to compliment each other's skills and ambitions.

The programme runs over a 6 month period and you can expect anywhere between 6-12 sessions of 60-90 minutes with your partner in addition to Outvertising run sessions and check-ins.
