We use four approaches that work together to help us achieve our mission: 

EQUIP – provide the tools, resources and guidance to drive change

On our website you’ll find free resources such as The Advocacy Playbook, the first comprehensive LGBTQIA+ guide for the UK ad industry. Our Consumer Report with YouGov delves into the attitudes of LGBTQIA+ people in their relationships with brands and advertising. And our Pronouns in Adland guide helps you create safer and more welcoming environments where people can readily share their pronouns.

INSPIRE – motivate action with best practice examples and success stories

Our annual Outvertising Live event is where we gather 200 LGBTQIA+ folk and allies from across the industry for an afternoon of insight, conversation, debate, and inspiration. We also take to the stage at many major industry events, showcasing queer inclusive campaigns that have driven real business results, or sharing stories of companies that are leading the way in workplace inclusion. 

EMPOWER – give advocates the drive and confidence to join our mission

Our Mentoring Programme helps empower the next generation of LGBTQIA+ talent by matching them with queer industry leaders with shared life experience. Our training initiatives have helped grow and mobilise an army of active allies across the industry. We also hold regular monthly socials and organise walking groups at various Pride events, creating meaningful connections and building the queer adland community.  

CHALLENGE – raise awareness of issues and hold our industry (and ourselves) to account 

We actively raise awareness of issues that are affecting the LGBTQIA+ community to our industry, be that through writing for our industry’s press, involvement with industry inclusion initiatives like the All In Census, or spearheading action through our own campaigns and statements.
