The advertising industry influences and shapes culture in society. Since the Stonewall riots 51 years ago, our world has gone through lots of different political and socio-cultural changes that have impacted our modern society. The LGBTQ+ community event though has gained some space in the advertising industry still suffers for the lack of representation or misrepresentation of the community and those behind the creation of the ads we see in our screens.
This talk is a fantastic trip back to the past and the present to get a better understanding of the evolution of our industry from an LGBTQ+ perspective and the challenges we have to overcome together to drive a better representation of the LGBTQ+ community.
